Operated by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR), Lynn Shore & Nahant Beach Reservation are protected coastal reservations that provide public access to over four miles of expansive seascape and four beaches: Kings Beach and Lynn Beach in Lynn and Nahant Beach and Long Beach in Nahant. A promenade extends along the two-mile length of the two reservations at the edge of Nahant Bay. Year round activities such as walking, jogging, and bicycling are available to the public along the promenade. Vast areas of hard-packed sand are exposed at low tide which can be accessed at Kings Beach and Long beach on Nahant Bay as well as near the boat launching area on Lynn Harbor. Hours: Open year round, dawn to dusk. Dogs on a leash are allowed on the beach during the off-season, from Sept. 16th to April 1st.
