Located at 18350 Highway M-203, Hancock, MI 49930, McLain State Park is a 443-acre public recreation area on the Keweenaw Peninsula in Houghton County, MI. It offers two miles of sand beach on Lake Superior and is centrally located between the cities of Calumet and Hancock. Dogs on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed on a portion of the Lake Superior shoreline at the park.
