Edisto Beach State Park on Edisto Island is one of four oceanfront state parks in South Carolina, with 1.5 miles of beach and two oceanfront picnic shelters. Directions: To access the beach, stay on Hwy. 174 until you reach the grocery store on the right. The day-use entrance to the park is directly across the street on the left. Dogs on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed on the beach year-round. State law requires that dogs be leashed at all times. Pets are not allowed in the cabins or the cabin areas.
