San Antonio International Airport (SAT) pet relief areas are located inside and outside the terminals. There are post security pet relief areas in each terminal’s concourse, near the gates. The pet relief area resembles a bathroom but has multiple drains on the floors, turf grass, an ornamental water hydrant, waste bags, and a sink for handlers to wash up afterward. In addition, there is a designated pre-security service animal relief area in each terminal. The area in terminal A is located on Level 0 of the Hourly Garage next to the elevator at the terminal entrance. The area in terminal B is located adjacent to the West exit at the Baggage Claim area, near the Ground Transportation Center. Passengers should contact their airlines for specific policies and fares for transporting pets in cargo or for traveling with a pet or service animal. Passengers should contact TSA for information on security screening for a pet or service animal.
