Kansas City International Airport (MCI) pet relief areas are located inside and outside the terminal. There are two indoor animal relief areas post-security checkpoints: near Gate A18 and Gate B54. A third animal relief area is located in a secure area within U.S. Customs and Border Protection for arriving international flights. These oversized spaces feature a large basin with artificial grass and a water spray nozzle to wash down the area. Outside of security, there is animal relief area in the outdoor courtyard at the north end of the bag claim area – Arrivals level. New in 2023: The first of three service animal relief areas is now complete in Concourse B in the New Terminal at @KCIAirport. One will be located outside of security in the lower courtyard by Arrivals/Baggage Claim, with two available inside security in each of the concourses. Passengers should contact their airlines for specific policies and fares for transporting pets in cargo or for traveling with a pet or service animal. Passengers should contact TSA for information on security screening for a pet or service animal.
