The Aerolíneas Argentinas pet policy is as follows:
Dogs and cats are accepted in the cabin in all routes operated by Aerolíneas Argentinas.
Each passenger may carry only one dog or cat.
“Brachycephalic” dog and cat breeds will be accepted for in cabin carriage.
The weight allowance for carriage is 7 (seven) kilos per animal, including the carrier.
Dogs and cats are carried in the hold as checked baggage.
Carriage of the animal is subject to suitable temperature conditions and availability in the airplane’s hold. Therefore, the booking does not guarantee that the pet will be carried.
Brachycephalic dogs and cats (usually known as snub nosed) are NOT accepted for carriage as checked baggage, they may only be carried as cargo.
In the case of carriage of unaccompanied pets, they must meet the requirements for carriage of animals in the hold; the service must be booked through the CARGO section. In this category, brachycephalic dogs and cats (usually known as snub nosed) are accepted, as long as the temperature does NOT exceed 19 °C in any segment of the trip.
Taking a pet to a foreign country involves preparation and planning far in advance of your departure date. Requirements for pet travel to a foreign country are set by the destination country. If you are you traveling to another country and bringing along your pet you’ll need to meet the animal health requirements of the country you are visiting.
