The Aegean Airlines pet policy is as follows:
Pets are accepted in the cabin and in the aircraft hold.
Only cats and dogs can travel in the aircraft cabin with you.
Each passenger is allowed to travel with only one (1) pet in cabin, carried within a special box/container.
The maximum permitted weight for a pet, combined with its container, is eight (8) kilos. If the dog or cat exceeds the 8 kilo weight limit, then it should only be transported in the baggage hold compartment of the aircraft.
If you wish to travel with more pets, they must be of the same species, familiar with each other and carried within the same special box/container. They should also not exceed the maximum weight of eight (8) kilos (including their container).
Except for particular breeds, Aegean welcomes for transportation in the holds of Airbus 319, 320 and 321 aircraft only, all domesticated animals: Dogs, cats, ferrets, spiders and other invertebrates (except bees and crustaceans), tropical fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, rodents and rabbits.
Animals may not be accepted to be transported in the aircraft hold for a connecting time exceeding three (3) hours.
If your pet/animal travels unaccompanied, weighs over 32kg including their container or in case you are interested in transporting other kinds of animals (except for the already mentioned ones), please contact the Cargo Department: Tel.: +30 210 3543700, +30 210 3543 095 / 096.
Taking a pet to a foreign country involves preparation and planning far in advance of your departure date. Requirements for pet travel to a foreign country are set by the destination country. If you are you traveling to another country and bringing along your pet you’ll need to meet the animal health requirements of the country you are visiting.
