During non-commute hours you may ride the world-famous San Francisco Cable Cars with your pet. Dogs are not permitted to ride weekdays 5-9 a.m. and 3-7 p.m. During the permitted hours, only one pet per vehicle is allowed. Dogs must be leashed and muzzled and can only ride on the lap of the rider or under their seat; all other pets must be carried in a small closed container on the lap of the rider or under their seat.
