Kaloko-Honokōhau National Historical Park Beach is located in the Kona District on the Big island of Hawaii. It includes the National Historic Landmarked archaeological site known as the Honokōhau Settlement. The park was established for the preservation, protection and interpretation of traditional native Hawaiian activities and culture. Dogs on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed on the beaches and trails. Dogs are allowed to swim in coastal waters but must always be on leash, even when swimming.
