Fernandina Beach City Beaches are located a mile from the center of town. Over four miles of beach with more than 20 public access points lie between the northern-most Main Beach south. Parks with beach access include: Main Beach Park, 32 North Fletcher Avenue; North Beach Park, 1230 North Fletcher Avenue; Seaside Park, 2002 South Fletcher Avenue. Dogs are allowed on the Atlantic Ocean beaches, but they must be on a leash at all times. During the months of May through October, horses are allowed on the Atlantic Ocean beaches south of the Sadler Road access between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and sunset, and from sunrise until 11:00 a.m. Horses will be prohibited on the beaches at any other times during these months. These hours may be modified by the City Manager in their permits as required by section 18-3. During the months of November through April horses are allowed on the Atlantic Ocean beaches south of Sadler Road access at any time, provided they stay in the designated area and do not violate section (a) regarding the dunes and vegetation area.
