Sherwood Island State Park, on the shore of Long Island Sound, is located in the Greens Farms section of Westport, CT. The state park offers swimming, fishing, and other activities on 238 acres of beach, wetlands, and woodlands. Dogs on a leash are allowed in the park and on the beach only during the off-season, from Oct. 1 through April 14.
