Corona Del Mar State Beach is located on the east side of the Newport Harbor channel entrance in the Corona Del Mar neighborhood in Newport Beach. The half-mile long sandy beach is framed by cliffs and a rock jetty that forms the east entrance to Newport Harbor. This is a state-owned beach that is managed and operated by the city of Newport Beach who call it Corona Del Mar Main Beach. The beach can be reached via an access road near the intersection of Iris Street and Ocean Boulevard in Corona del Mar. Dogs on a leash no longer than 6 feet are only allowed on the beach before 10 a.m. and after 4:30 p.m., year round. Dogs not allowed on the beach or any beachfront sidewalk between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., including the ocean front beaches and bay front beaches.
