OFF-LEASH DOG BEACH. Olde Port Beach is a wide sandy cove alongside Avila Beach Drive just west of downtown Avila Beach, CA. Next to the Harford Pier, it’s the first beach you’ll see after crossing the bridge out of Avila and into Port San Luis. This beach offers no services and few amenities. There is parking along the road and a ramp down to the sand. Dogs are allowed off-leash and under voice-command control on Olde Port Beach at anytime.
