California State Parks Pet Policy: Dogs are allowed in most California State Parks, but must be on a leash not exceeding six feet in length or confined in an enclosed vehicle, tent or pen at all times. Dogs are not permitted into buildings or undeveloped areas, or on trails, unless specifically designated as being open to dogs on leash. (In general, dogs are not allowed on trails, near rivers or creeks, in the open forest and meadows, or in the environmental campsites.). In addition, dogs are not permitted on most beaches.
