Located at 190276 Old Oregon Trail, Gering, NE 69341, Scotts Bluff National Monument in western Nebraska includes an important 19th-century landmark on the Oregon Trail and Mormon Trail. The site protects over 3,000 acres of historic overland trail remnants, mixed-grass prairie, rugged badlands, towering bluffs and riparian area along the North Platte River. Pets on a leash are welcome on all paved trails and developed areas of the parks.
