Managed by the U.S. Forest Service, Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area encompasses 170,000 acres in Western Kentucky and Tennessee between Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake. Pets are allowed on trails and in campgrounds, but must be on a leash and under physical control at all times. Pets are allowed at the Homeplace 1850s Working Farm and Living History Museum. Dogs are not permitted at the Nature Station, however, there is a kennel you may use to keep your dog while you visit.
