OFF-LEASH DOG BEACH. Part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Baker Beach stretches a mile below the rugged cliffs on the Presidio’s western shoreline. Dogs are allowed on-leash or off-leash at the north end of the beach (towards the Golden Gate Bridge), north of Lobos Creek. Dogs must be on-leash only to the south on the Coastal Trail, Picnic Areas, Sand Ladder, Beach Access Trails, & Parking Lots.
