Blue Ridge Parkway’s eight campgrounds are open from May through late October, weather permitting. All campgrounds have potable water, comfort stations with flush toilets and sinks, and a dump station for recreational vehicles. Showers are available at Julian Price and Mount Pisgah campgrounds. Each camp site includes a picnic table and fire ring. Camping is permitted only in designated campsites. Dogs, cats and other pets are allowed on the Parkway and on hiking trails, but must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet and under direct control of the handler at all times.
