DEC operates 52 campgrounds located in the Adirondack and Catskill Parks. Pets on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed in the campgrounds with proof of a valid rabies inoculation. Dogs and other pets are not permitted at the beach, in picnic areas, or in any building.
