Massachusetts State Parks offers 29 state parks where you can camp. Sleep under forest canopies in the Berkshires, or near the beach on Cape Cod. Campgrounds vary in what they offer, from showers and flush toilets to R.V. sites offering electric and water hook-ups. Pets on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed in the campgrounds. Proof of rabies vaccination is required upon registration at the campground. Pets are not permitted on swimming beaches or in any state buildings, and are prohibited from cabins and cabin sites, yurts and yurt sites, all Camp Nihan cabins and sites, and Boston Harbor Islands. Only 4 pets per campsite, and all must be leashed.
