Whiskeytown National Recreation Area Campgrounds include the Oak Bottom Campground (Tent & RV); Primitive Campgrounds (Horse Camp and Peltier Bridge); Brandy Creek RV Campground, and Dry Creek Group Campground (Tent). Oak Bottom Campground is the only campground located on the shores of Whiskeytown Lake. Horse Camp is the only campground where camping with horses is allowed. Pets on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed in the campgrounds, but are not permitted at the designated swim beach.
