San Diego County Parks Campgrounds provide a great variety of camping, cabins and RV hook-up sites, in settings ranging from a pristine desert oasis to boulder-strewn mountain slopes, and spectacular lakes. Dogs on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed in most county parks, with the exception of Volcan Mountain, Wilderness Gardens Preserve, and the trails at Agua Caliente. The fee for dogs in camping parks is $1.00 per night per dog, and the pet must have current license and vaccinations.
