In Ontario Provincial Parks dogs are welcome, and are permitted on campsites, park roads and most hiking trails, except for a few specific campgrounds and sensitive areas. As a general rule, pets need to be on a leash no longer than 2 meters (approx. 6.5 feet) in length, even in areas where pets are allowed. Dogs are not permitted in beaches and swimming areas (unless a designated dog beach). Many parks offer dog beach areas:
