Located at 1852 Crescent Rd., Victoria, BC V8S 2G8, Gonzales Beach is a sheltered, sandy beach in the neighbourhood of Fairfield, just east of downtown Victoria. The main access to the beach is located off Crescent Road, near the south end of Richmond Road. Dogs are no longer allowed to run free at Gonzales Beach after the Canadian Wildlife Service informed Victoria council that allowing unleashed pets at the beach is endangering migrating birds and violates federal regulations. Dogs on a leash are allowed on the beach only during the off-season, from September 1 to May 31. Directions: From downtown Victoria take Fairfield Road east to Beach Drive. Follow Beach Drive to the beach and park in designated areas.
