Peachland is a district municipality in the Okanagan Valley on the west side of Okanagan Lake in British Columbia. Peachland has great access to Okanagan Lake where dogs can go for a swim. Dogs on a leash are allowed on any beach that is not a designated swim beach. Designated swim areas are delineated in the water with Swim Buoys and the sidewalk. Where no sidewalk exists, the beach area begins 1 metre from the paved road. In addition, areas along Beach Avenue, that are marked with ‘Dog Beach’ signs are places where you can let your dog have access to the water. While they need to be on-leash when they are on the beach, they can be off-leash if actively swimming/playing in the water. There is a designated off-leash dog beach located near the Princeton Rd/Hwy 97 intersection, just past the boat launch.
