Gold Bluffs Beach in Prairie Creek Redlands State Park is located 50 miles north of Eureka and 25 miles south of Crescent City on Newton B. Drury Scenic Parkway off of Highway 101. This is a long sandy beach that is great for walking, beachcombing and birdwatching. Visitors will need to pay a day-use fee at the entrance station. The access road (Davison Road) is dirt, very narrow and windy. Recreational vehicles and vehicles towing a trailer are not permitted on Davison Road. There are no toilets at this location. Dogs on a leash no longer than 6 feet are only allowed in the campground, on the beach and the main beach road. Dogs are not permitted on any of the park trails including Fern Canyon.
