Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR) pet relief areas are located inside and outside the terminal. The post-security pet relief area is located at the beginning of Concourse A and is equipped with wheelchair access, a floor-level drinking fountain, a “K9 grass system” that optimizes drainage, a waste bin and more. In addition, there is a pet relief area outside on the west end of the terminal curb front. The designated area is a small, fenced, park-like, wheelchair-accessible area provided for the needs of both assistance animal and owner with natural ground cover and surroundings. Mutt Mitts, trash receptacles, and benches are provided for their human counterparts. Passengers should contact their airlines for specific policies and fares for transporting pets in cargo or for traveling with a pet or service animal. Passengers should contact TSA for information on security screening for a pet or service animal.
