Winnipeg Richardson International Airport (YWG) pet relief areas are located inside and outside the terminal. There are two indoor pet relief areas: in the Domestic/International Gate Area, located past security across from Gate 9; and in the Transborder Gate Area, located across from Gate 4 for travelers flying direct to the U.S. The airport also has a designated animal relief area, in a park like setting, just outside Door #3 on the Arrivals Level. Turn right on exiting the Terminal Building and follow the sidewalk to the green space. The pet relief area is a space where your furry friend can stretch their legs before or after their flight and it also features plastic baggies and a garbage bin. For the health and safety of passengers and staff, travelers and visitors should ensure all pets are contained in a kennel or pet carrier before entering the terminal building. Passengers should contact their airlines for specific policies and fares for transporting pets in cargo or for traveling with a pet or service animal. Passengers should contact CATSA for information on security screening for a pet or service animal.
