Northumberland Ferries Limited (NFL) is a ferry company operating the ferry service across the eastern part of the Northumberland Strait between Wood Islands, Prince Edward Island and Caribou, Nova Scotia. Cats and dogs are welcome a board Northumberland Ferries with the following travel options: in-vehicle (your pet remains in the vehicle); in-kennel (your dog stays in a kennel on the vehicle deck); and with you (your cat remains with you in a portable carrier; your dog remains with you on-leash on the exterior passenger decks). There is a designated pet friendly space on MV Confederation (E Deck forward lounge). Pet owners have access to four interior kennels and a water fountain. Designated outdoor pet relief areas are available at the Wood Islands and Caribou terminals – look for the signs.
