Long Beach Township Beaches are located on Long Beach Island, a barrier island along the Atlantic Ocean coast of Ocean County, NJ. Long Beach Township comprises the largest parts of LBI and has the most miles of beaches, each with their own character. The north end beaches, Loveladies & North Beach, are quiet areas to go to relax and unwind. The middle of the island is the longest sections of beaches that go from Brant Beach to North Beach Haven. 68th Street (Bayview Park) offers a bay beach, ocean beach, pickle ball courts, basketball courts, & a dog park. On the south end of LBI are the beaches of Holgate and the Edwin B. Forsythe Wildlife Refuge. Guarded beaches include: Loveladies, North Beach, Brant Beach, North Haven Crest, Spray Beach, and Holgate. Dogs on a leash are allowed on the beach during the off-season, from October 1st to May 1st. Dogs are prohibited on the beaches between May 1 and October 1.
