Head of the Meadow Beach is part of the Cape Cod National Seashore, but is shared with the town of Truro. One of the less popular seashore beaches, it is large with a gorgeous view and calming waves. Directions: Traveling north on Route 6, proceed .25 mile north from Cape Cod Light/Highland Road exit. Look for the brown and white Head of the Meadow Beach sign on the right. Turn right and proceed two miles to the beach and bike trail head. All animals are prohibited between the hours of 9:00 am And 6:00 pm, from the third Saturday in June through Labor Day. In addition, beach restrictions for pets may be increased due to the presence of shorebirds. NO PETS ALLOWED – Beach closed to pets traveling north and south of beach access path. During shorebird nesting, staging, and migrating periods, pets are not permitted in posted locations. Walking pets in these areas is prohibited 24/7.
