The City of Mississauga works with Leash-Free Mississauga to oversee and operate eight leash free zones. Leash-Free Mississauga is a not for profit volunteer group that provides public dog-related educational programming, stewardship and organizes events at the leash-free zones for the benefit of the general public. Locations include:
Etbicoke Valley Park, Dundas Street and Southcreek Road (south side, west of Hwy 427)
Garnetwood Park, Burnhamthorpe Road East, east of Pony Trail Drive
Parkway Belt, Kennedy Road north of Eglinton Avenue west on Indian Summer Trail (south of Iceland Arena)
Totoredaca Park, Meadowvale Boulevard, north of Meadowpines Road
Lakeside Park, 2266 Lakeshore Road West. South of Royal Windsor Drive
Quenippenon Meadows, 5220 Erin Mills Parkway, north of Erin Centre Blvd
Jack Darling Memorial Park, 1180 Lakeshore Road West, west of Lorne Park Road
Union Park Dog Walk Area, 6627 Tenth Line West, north of Aquitaine Ave
Membership in Leash-Free Mississauga is $15 for one dog and $20 for two or more dogs.
