Cambridge Dog Parks offer three kinds of off-leash dog areas:
Dedicated Off Leash Areas (these areas are fenced in and intended exclusively for use by off leash dogs and their owners), including:
Pacific Street Park (Cambridgeport) – at the corner of Pacific Street and Sidney Street.
Danehy Park (Neighborhood Nine) – at 99 Sherman Street near Garden and New Street.
Giacobbe Dog Run (North Cambridge) – behind the Anderson Courts near the intersection of Pemberton Street and Yerxa Road.
Timothy J. Toomey, Jr. Park – near the intersection of Third Street and Bent Street.
Shared Use Off Leash Areas (these are areas where dogs are allowed off leash, but that are not fully fenced in or separated from other uses and activities), including:
Fresh Pond Reservation (West Cambridge) – 180-220 Fresh Pond Pkwy, Cambridge, MA 02138.
Fort Washington Park (Cambridgeport) – 101 Waverly Street, Cambridge, MA 02139; between Erie Street and Putnam Avenue.
Shared Use Hours (areas where dogs are allowed to be off leash during designated hours, are not fenced in, and outside of shared use hours, dogs must be on a leash in these locations), including:
Gold Star Mothers Park (East Cambridge) – from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
Raymond Street Park (Neighborhood Nine) – from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
Joan Lorentz Park (Mid-Cambridge) – from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Greene-Rose Heritage Park (The Port) – from 6:00 A.M. to 9:00 A.M.
Hoyt Field (Riverside) – from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
Sacramento Field (Agassiz) – from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
