Located at 3225 NE Plain City-Georgesville Rd., West Jefferson, OH 43162, Prairie Oaks Metro Park encompasses nearly 500 acres of lush prairies and grasslands. The Big Darby State and National Scenic River flows through the 2,203-acre park. Darby Bend Lakes at Prairie Oaks is a water recreational area, featuring three beautiful lakes. Dogs can swim and dive at the Doggie Beach in the Darby Bend Lakes area. Domesticated dogs and cats are also permitted in the park’s picnic areas, parking lots and on roadways. Pets must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet.
