Part of the Fire Island National Seashore, Watch Hill is located on the western edge of the Otis Pike Fire Island High Dune Wilderness, directly across the Great South Bay from Patchogue, Long Island. It is accessible by ferry, private boat, and foot only. Pets are not permitted on the ocean beach from March 15 through Labor Day. Dogs on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed on the ocean beach from the day after Labor Day to March 15.
