Part of the Fire Island National Seashore, the Fire Island Lighthouse is located at the southern terminus of Robert Moses Causeway, just east of Robert Moses State Park. Pets are not permitted on the ocean beach from March 15 through Labor Day. Dogs on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed on the ocean beach from the day after Labor Day to March 15. Dogs on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed on the bayside beach year-round, on ferries and water taxis. Dogs are not permitted at Robert Moses State Park.
