Cape May City Beaches are located on the Atlantic Ocean at the tip of southern New Jersey’s Cape May Peninsula. The city beaches run approximately 2.5 miles parallel to Beach Avenue and are within walking distance from most accommodations. Dogs on a leash are allowed on the beach during the months of November, December, January, February, and March. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.
At Cape May Point dogs on a leash no longer than 6 feet are allowed on the beach during the off-season, from November 1 through March 14.
At Sunset Beach dogs are allowed on the beach during the off-season, from September 15 to April 15.
