Located at 106 State Park Drive, Roscommon, MI 48653, South Higgins Lake State Park contains almost one mile of shoreline along Higgins Lake, which is a large spring-fed body of water known for its clarity. There are three pet-friendly areas of shoreline at the park. One beach is along a section of shoreline in the day-use area (along the east boundary of the park), one is in the campground (west side of the boat access site), and there is a campers-only area along the west boundary of the campground. Dogs must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet and under owner’s immediate control at all times.
