Chatham Town Beaches include the following beaches with views of Nantucket Sound and the Atlantic Ocean:
Lighthouse Beach – located on Shore Road by Chatham Light, Chatham, MA.
Hardings Beach, West Chatham – located at 385 Hardings Beach Rd., Chatham, MA 02633.
Ridgevale Beach, West Chatham – located between Hardings Beach and Cockle Cove at Ridgevale Road, Chatham, MA 02633.
Cockle Cove Beach, South Chatham – located at 435 Cockle Cove Rd., Chatham, MA 02633.
Oyster Pond Beach, Chatham – located within walking distance from town.
Forest Beach, South Chatham – located on Nantucket Sound.
Pleasant Bay (Jackknife) – located on Route 28 in North Chatham.
Pleasant Street Beach – located at the end of Pleasant Street in South Chatham.
Dogs are allowed on the beaches only during the off-season, from September 16th to May 1st. The exception is Pleasant Bay (Jackknife), North Chatham where dogs are allowed on the beach before 9 a.m. and after 6 p.m. from May 1st to Sept. 15th. All dogs, cats, horses and other livestock, domesticated animals and pets are prohibited from all areas designated and marked as closed due to endangered shorebird nesting habitat from the date that they are marked and posted until September 15th.
