OFF-LEASH DOG BEACH. Located on Kent Island at 2010 Sonny Schulz Blvd, Stevensville, MD 21666, Matapeake Park Dog Beach provides a place to romp in the sand and swim in shallow waters on the east side of the Chesapeake Bay. A winding trail through the woods ends at the beach, on the sandy banks of Chesapeake Bay. The waterfront dog park is part of Matapeake State Park, which also incorporates a separate public beach, fishing pier, clubhouse, picnic area and trails. The pet trail begins at the fence that borders the rear of the clubhouse. Parking is located at the Matapeake Clubhouse and Public Beach lot; however, pets are not allowed at the clubhouse, its lawn, or the public beach.
