United Airlines allows domesticated cats, dogs, rabbits and household birds (excluding cockatoos) to travel accompanied in the aircraft cabin on most flights within the U.S. Pets are not permitted on on flights to, from or through Australia, Hawaii, New Zealand and other locations. Rules for international in-cabin pet acceptance vary widely — contact United Reservations for assistance and more information about international in-cabin pet acceptance. PetSafe®, United’s specially designed program for transporting animals that are not eligible to travel in the aircraft cabin, offers airport-to-airport delivery for animals and features a 24-hour live animal desk, the ability to track pets from origin to destination and more. Animals accepted are cats and dogs ONLY. NO other household pets or animals will be accepted as PetSafe. United Airlines does not accept accept reservations for certain brachycephalic (or short- or snub-nosed) dogs and cats and strong-jawed dog breeds, out of concern for higher adverse health risks. No reservations will be accepted to and from the following airports annually between May 1 and Sept. 30, due to high temperature restrictions: Las
Vegas (LAS), Palm Springs (PSP), Phoenix (PHX), and Tucson (TUS).
